I didn't use the 601 but I'll check it out. I'll do another application of 105 in the fall sounds like something to try....

For the last 10 years I've used Zaino Z2 because of it's awesome durability. Picked up some Duragloss 601 and 105 to try and did my 2011 Ford Edge last night. After a quick claying, I hit it with 601 and then a coat of 105. Looks fantastic but the 105 was much tougher to apply and remove then Z2. The Z2 goes on like butter and is really easy to remove. The 105 took a ton more elbow grease to apply and remove. Seemed to be lots of areas that took some serious buffing to remove the 105. Gonna be interesting to see how durable the 105 is compared to the Z2. The one product that I really love in the Duragloss line is their Aquawax spray wax. It's, by far, the best spray-on wax I've used.

Sorry to hear about your experience fishx65. I've never used 601 & 105 together so I can't comment to that. All I'll say is that when you apply 105 you apply a thin coat. Used in this manner it is easy to apply and easy to buff off. It's ease of use is one of the reasons I like it.

An update for those that are interested. Since I've polished the truck w/501 & followed up w/105 and then Aquawax. I washed my truck yesterday and I can't believe how the paint felt when I was drying the truck. It just felt extremely smooth perhaps slick is the better word. This is the first time I've used this combo of 501 followed up with 105 then Aquawax. I'm very happy.

Matt

Not a bad experience with the 105 at all. It just does not spread or remove as easy as the Z-2. If the durability can match Z-2, I'll probably be sticking with the DG.

I have noticed over the years that a product that works great on one vehicle doesn't always apply/remove the same on another vehicle. Meg's Utimate Polish & Ultimate Liquid Wax applies and removes very easily on my '94 Oxford White Clearcoat F150 and is a hassle to use on my 2011 SCab and the wifes 2011 Fusion. Same prep with different results.

I found DG 671/DG 105 easier to remove from my 2011 SCab than from the wifes 2011 Fusion. DG AW is definitely the best Spray Wax I have used and their Spray Detailer is just as good in my book. The DG Rain Repel glass cleaner is another product I plan on keeping in my detail arsenal.
