Tires

What is the best product and process to keep the tires looking good. I know that some of the tire shine products are thrown off easily onto the vehicle finish. What is the best to use and how?

For cleaning I use Poorboys APC diluted 15:1 ( 12:1 or 10:1 if really bad ) and scrub with a plastic bristle gong brush ( HD has the one I use by quicky - black handle yellow bristles ).

After cleaning, if I am applying a coating, I use PB Natural Look, as it is a matte finish ( I am not one for the gloss look - reminds me of back when Trans fluid was used on tires to get that look in the 60s ).

Just recently I got something else to try, but generally I use Natural Look on the tires and in the wheel wells if I am dressing them.
I would shoot it on with a 1mm tip, HVLP spray gun, and the tires use an old socks to rub it in after applying ( so it is dry at time of application ).

This way there was nothing to sling after application.

Guess the same method could be used with any tire & trim dressing, but I don't know what the end results would look like with other products, so YMMV.

I scrub the tires with a bristle brush when I wash and then dress them with hyper dressing. I diluted it 3:1 I believe to get the wet look.
