truck covers

truck covers

have a question my truck sits outside for long periods of time without moving while im at work i drive semi for a living and i had a truck cover but it was marking the paint i want one that wont mark the paint and will help protect it from the weather especially hail well as much as possible anyway does anyone have any suggestions thx for any help

Not knowing where you live- house/apartment etc., I would consider one of those porta-shelters, I don't think they are real expensive and they would last longer than a cover.

thanks for the idea vans but my truck sits at work for long periods of time while im out on the road i drive truck for a living and i already ask that and they wont let me

I've never been a huge advocate of vehicle covers unless it's to keep dust off a freshly detailed collector car that's being put into storage for a period of time.

Putting a cover on a vehicle that will sit outside and has been driven prior to installation creates a "sandpaper effect" between the dust and dirt that's already on the vehicle and the inevitable movement of the cover from wind or even dragging it across the car during installation.

I think you'd be better off just keeping a nice coat of wax on it to protect the paint and maybe throw sunshades in the windows to cut down on the UV exposure your interior has to endure.
