Por 15

Ordered some today. I repaint my undercarriage yearly and the only place that rust comes back every year are the edges of the bed supports in the rear wheel wells. I've sanded down to bare metal, used rust inhibitor, bed liner, paint. Nothing stops it.

I'm going to use POR 15. Obviously, it stands for paint over rust. That said, should I clean or sand the rust at all or just apply POR 15 to it? I'll also put a coat of white Rustoleum over it to it looks normal.

Thanks!

just knock off any flaking rust and make sure it is DRY and no oils or grease on the surface. Do not to go to bare metal ( else you will need to apply another product 1st ).

A lot of ZG riders that have water in their fuel, have rusting issues in the bottom of the tank, and only clean it out and roll the tank with POR in it.

Once POR15 is cured, use a scuff pad on it prior to the top coat.

the POR 15 site should still have the cheat sheet instructions ( as well as the full ones ).
Take a look prior to opening the can. It is not rustoleum, do not treat it like it is ( else it will not work any better ).

Thanks! I did read the cheat sheets on the site before. I just didn't get a good idea of how much rust I needed to leave on.
