No, you want a "DA" (dual action) such as a Porter-Cable 7424XP or a Meguiars G110V2. Orbitals are almost worthless for any kind of correction work. I understand Griot's Garage also has a decent DA.

Not trying to repeat myself, but have you read the detailing sticky yet?

You can't do by hand what you can accomplish with a machine.
In person (the pic below) looks like a pool of calm water you could stick your hand in.
The PC6424xp, Meg's G110V2 and Griots Garage 6" Random Orbital are all real good machines.
