Oxidation question

Im in the airforce and my flightline truck has a fliberglass box on it that has some heavy oxidation. Wondered what the best stuff would be to use on it. The vehicle maintenace guys put something on it and the shine hasnt gone away and they wont give away there secret. Any ideas

I would suggest using Griot's Garage Machine Polish 1 if it is indeed heavy oxidation with a random orbital waxer (porter cable or equiv). Their machine polishes go 1 to 4; heaviest to least grit) then follow up with a paint sealer or best in show wax.

I used Machine Polish 3 which is their very mild polish product on my entire truck and it transformed it. I need to use MP2 on my roof to achieve the same shine but other than that, people think I just washed my truck and it could be several weeks or a month since the last bath. Type in oxidation in the search bar. www.griotsgarage.com
Good luck

My truck uses Griot's products:

For heavy oxidation, I kind of like Meguiar's M105. It's pretty aggressive stuff, but used correctly, it's quite nice. You will have to follow it up with something less aggressive to finish out and their M205 works pretty well there.

The more interesting question would be what the guys used on it already. Did it remove the oxidation or just mask it?

I used Meg's RV and Marine series on our Master Craft that had oxidation and serious hard water marks on it. I used my Makita rotary with Lakes Purple Foamed Wool pad for the big correction and then stepped it down to either a Lakes soft Green or Lakes Blue pad for the polish.

Here is what I started with.

And here is what I ended up with.

How long has it been and what conditions was the area exposed to?
