I have a cyclo dual head polisher that a friend gave me. I have to buy pads for it. I am wondering if the 7424xp is a better polisher. For those of you that have used both please let me know the pros and cons of both. I detail friends and family cars (hand wash and wax type stuff) but I am thinking about taking up a level. I have had several people ask if I would detail their cars for cash.

 

In its time, the Cyclo was the machine of choce and tough to beat. Getting one for free certainly saved you a ton of coin. That said, I believe there are better machines / systems available now. For instance, the Porter-Cable 7424 or 7424XP is a great machine. Pair it with the new Meguiar's Microfiber pad system and you'll be light years ahead of what you could do with the Cyclo.

 

maybe i will just sell the cyclo would 100.00 be in the ball park as far as what to ask for it?
