Question Clay Bar

I read all the results you guys had using the clay bar so I tried it and followed up zymol and I am really impressed My question is how often should I use the clay bar? Will it do any harm to polish my truck every week? I just love this black.

Thank for you response

You don't need to do it every week. Your hands will be the best judge, when your fingers don't glide across the surface anymore and you feel something deposited on the paint, it's time. It should feel as smooth as silk even before you wax it.

Good advice above. To give you an idea, the folks at Zaino Brothers told me every 6-12 months at most.

Can you only purchase clay bar online? I am up here in Canada, just wanted to know if there are stores you can purchase it from instead. Thanks

jb. A lot of regular auto parts stores carry them in their "car care" section.

IndyFan & Fowl,

Good one, but Fowl, you need not worry. Turkey season is a long way off I'm preparing for deer season now!

Have a good one!

Well, if I was "Buck", I'd be worrying right about now.

Hunt4fun:

This is somewhat off this topic but how do you like the Zaino Bros car polish system? A friend at work sent me the link to thier site today. He started to use the products and is very impressed.

Thumbs up Zaino is the best!

The Zaino products that I have used (z-1, 2, 5, 6 and 18) are simply the best that I have ever used.

Do it as Sal Zaino recommends and the results are incredible. After doing my 1990 Honda (the test vehicle) I proceeded to do my wife's Taurus and then my truck.

I've since had such great response that I did my parents to cars (1995 Park Avenue) and my father's 1991 Cadillac.

A picture is worth a 1000 words. Look at the Cadillac at
http://cpt.engr.iupui.edu/jkissner/Cadillac.htm

Note the smiling father in the second picture. His chest just about popped a button on his shirt when he drove the Cadillac home.

I just had my truck painted to repair a few scratches that came with it when I bought it. I can't wait to get the polish on it.

If you want to see pictures of the truck before the window tint and before painting take a look at http://cpt.engr.iupui.edu/jkissner/2000FordF150.htm
