Cleaning the Steering Wheel

Any tips for cleaning a Steering Wheel? I'm hesitant, because it seems to get very slick. Even soap and water with some scrubbing seams to leave it too slick. Any tips short of a cover to make it clean but not slick?

I used meguires interior wipes on mine. They don't seem to leave any residue at all.

Use any good interior quick detailer, and then don't dress it if you are worried about slickness.

How many miles are on the truck? Perhaps the wheel feels a bit slick due to the texture being worn off with the miles? Soap and water shouldn't make it more slick.

110,000 on the truck. The texture is still on the wheel.

Thanks for tips, I'll give them a try.
