I'm cleaning my nerf bars with 0000 grade steel wool and I want to do a thorough job without the plastic in the way. I popped out the end caps without a problem, but the plastic strip on top seems to be secured pretty good and I don't want to break them trying to pull up on them.

Anyone know how to remove them properly?

I think there's screws?

 

There's a bunch of tabs..you need a thin flat screwdriver.

 

Just ripped mine off..Getting my step bars powder coated..I found a panel puller "screwdriver" very helpful...
