It is proven that all cars drive better when clean! So of course my favorite part is the ride after I clean it.

I like seeing my reflection in my freshly detailed paint. Like a mirror!!!

Even when my vehicles are dirty, I always get comments on how good they look. I like that. It show's that I have accomplished something and other people do notice.

 

It's good therapy for me and I like the compliments.

 

The neighbor asking why I wax the roof when no one will see it while triing not to hit my head on the garage door above me and catch the bead of sweat about to roll off my face on to my freshly waxed roof..... then pull it out in the sun and look at how clean it is. The 15 extra mpg gains from such a smooth vehicle is also nice!!!!

 

Seeing the water beads moving across your hood as you're driving. You end up with a dry truck by the time you arrive at your destination

 

Hiding from my wife for a few hours.

 

After a fresh wax I like to toss a dry towel across the hood to see how easy it glides across.

 

I think I mostly enjoy the act of simply working/playing with my toy. Is it absolutely necessary to have it as pretty as possible? H, E, double hockey sticks YA
