My poor attempt at sarcasm.
There are at least 4 recent threads on this issue. In every one of them (including this one) people continue to ignore the owner's manual and use the wrong product on their non-KR leather (leather with protective coating).

to pull a line out of the manual that was stated earlier in the thread here......
the line immediately following this one......
i checked my megs and it does not list any petroleum base ingredient in it.
what do you suggest for a commerciall availabel cleaner for this??

• If the leather cannot be completely cleaned using a mild soap and water solution, the leather may be cleaned using a commercially available cleaning product designed for automotive interiors.
• Do not use household cleaning products, alcohol solutions, solvents or cleaners intended for rubber, vinyl and plastics, or oil/petroleum-based leather conditioners. These products may cause premature wearing of the clear, protective coating.
what do you suggest for a commerciall availabel cleaner for this??

I've seen this mentioned before. I can't say that it's wrong but I would tend to disagree. I'm no expert but I'd think the dye/paint would still allow air to pass through to the leather. I think conditioners would also seep through the paint/dye and help the leather from drying out. I'm guessing we are talking about aniline leather? Most leather shops recommend conditioning it.
