Rail Dust?
Rail Dust?
Guys I am new to your forum. I have a new 2010 F150 XLT and it is vermilion red I wax it for the first time today and found small speck in the clear coat on the left fender you can fill it on top of clear coat but it did not come off when I wax it. I let the dealer look at it and he said it kooks like rail dust to him. Have you guys ever seen this on a new truck?? This is my first ford truck and I don't wont to paint the front fender on it. Is there a way to remove this without damage the paint or put swirl marks on it. The paint is perfect on the whole truck but the top of left left fender. This is a shame on a brand new truck.. Any help please..
It is hard to believe that clay will remove it because it will not move with your finger nail. The guy told me that it burns in the clear coat and makes them small pits is this true? Thanks guys for the fast reply and the help.. This forum is great for guys helping each other..
yes glc is right. a clay bar will fix all of that. i had it all over the tailgate of my 2010 and i went and got a mothers clay bar kit and in a hour or so i had it all removed. i try to do the clay bar every couple months to keep it away since where i work is right beside i rail yard. good luck hope it fixes your problem as well.
