I have chestnut paint on 2000 s/c and have found several small scratches and one scuff
scratch all appear to be on the clear coat surface i hardly drive, only 1900 miles so far and am sick about it! Can anyone help me to remove these scratches and do something to prevent them from happening! I've never had a vehicle scratch so easily! Is there a problem with the clear coat being to soft or something?

 

Go to an auto store and get some clearcoat safe scratch removing polish. There are lots of good brands available. It's abrasive ingredients will remove the mild scuffs and give you a good idea of their depth. If deeper try a professional job.
