chrone polish
chrone polish
i have some very fine scratches in some chrome wheels and you cant feel them but unable to get them out with the normal polish i have tried mothers. meguires anybody have any ideas on what to use
this Wenol blue will take out very fine scratches ? thanks for the reply
Should. It also leave behind a sealant of sorts.
Granted, for something local, I've also used Mother's Billet polish (not the cheaper, all red can). It's around $14 for the can IIRC. Worked pretty decent on polished CCW Classics using a diaper cloth. Just remember to seal afterward as this doesn't leave behind protection.
What kind of cloth and pressure are you using? You might have to vary how hard and how you are applying the product. I've done wheels where a lot of pressure and the Megs polish worked awesome. Others where medium to soft pressure and Mother's Billet applied with a powder-free glove in circular motions had to be used, and even then, some very fine "scratches" remained (nothing most people would notice).
Again, though, this is all with polished wheels, though I would think the principal should be the same. Play around with how you are applying and finishing the products you have before going out to buy more.

ELVATO i was using an old tee shirt with some meguires and mothers chrome polish i will try some of the mothers billet polish i think the cheaper stuff doesn't have much polishing material in it . i was also reading that steel wool #0000 will work with chrome polish as an lubricant. i will try your method and pick up a can of the billet polish and seal it. thanks for the info
