0000 steel wool
Would 0000 steel wool be ok a coated chrome wheels? Im selling them and I want them to look show room condition. I have them at about a 8/10 but theres a couple spots that need some TLC. I used Meguiars Hot Rims wheel chrome cleaner which did really well. Thanks fellas.

I use it on my kmc wheels with no problems just make sure to keep the wool wet and soapy

Any soap dish washing soap, car wash soap it just keeps it lubed up
thanks. and cold or warm water?
Doesn't matter

You should never use chrome cleaner or steel wool on COATED wheels. You must treat them like paint, because that's what the coating is! Clearcoat.
Noooooooooooooooooooo not on coated wheels...unless it is a clear powdercoating!
I just got done goggling this brand wheel every where just says chrome finish I have yet to see anywhere that says coated chrome. Unless he had them coated bought he bought them.
i havent done anything to them. So if they are just chrome coated, then will 0000 be safe?
Yes if they are just chrome but if they had a teflon coating on them then no but I've never seen a chrome wheel with teflon coating mostly powder coated wheels
They may have standard automotive clear coat on them. If so, treat them like paint.
Did the rags turn black when you cleaned them with the Megs polish?
yes. but it wasnt polish, just a spray cleaner. I polished with flitz and the rag turned black.
