Chrome Wheel Care

With winter fast approaching I wanted to check with you guys to see what you do to protect your chrome wheels from piting due to road salt and ice treatments during the winter months. I know the best option is to remove them but I'd like to not have to pay to get my tires mounted twice a year if I don't have to. Just wanted to get some thoughts/experiences. THANKS!!

If they're chrome (as opposed to polished, or some type of coated aluminum) about the best you can do is treat it like any other painted surface. Keep a good coat of wax on it and keep them clean.
