Underside Coating?

Hi folks, I have a 2002 F150 Lariat Super Crew. Plan on keeping it for a long time and thinking about doing some minor work to it to keep it from rusting out. I noticed on the underside there is a bit of surface rust building up and wondered whether that was something I should be concerned about? If so, how to deal with it? I know some folks get their underside coated with stuff similar to spray-in bedliner, maybe? Maybe I'm off-base there? Ideas on what to do? Not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars unless it made ALOT of sense.

Thanks, David

That would just seal in the rust. Best thing now is the spray oil. It'll remove very minor rust (like the staining kind) and retard the spread of actual rust.
The big three right now are:

http://www.corrosionfree.com/

http://www.rustcheck.com/

Corrosion free is the new player in town and I believe is the only one with a dripless product.
