Took the Plunge

Well guys, I have been dying for so long to do this and it finally happened! My dad wanted to get my brother and I polishers so he had me pick them out for us both. After close to 2 years of research and quiet reading behind the scenes, I knew the M110 V2 would be a good choice. So I ordered 2 with the 6 pad special from ADS then grabbed my older brother 2 grit guards courtesy of our dad. I knew what I needed so I bought my self a nice set-up to get me going. I grabbed 2 grit guards, 3 nice Meguiar's Mitts, professional headlight restoration kit, 3" backing plate, 6 pack of Meg's assorted pads, Collinite 476 for winter prep and I have a nice variety of Meg's products already like Ultimate Compound, Hyper dressing, 26, 7, and a bunch of others that I have picked out over time. I am going to triall on my dad's shop van, but my first big correction detail will be my Gf's dad's Caddy. It was her grandma's but she can't drive so it will sit for a bit while waiting for the registration. It's a late year 97 Catera (98) and is black and has so many swirl marks I will do a full write up on it. The doorbell just rang and my order just showed up! I have gotten deeper and deeper into the detailing and finally can get the most out of my time and effort. Hopefully I can turn the car around and make it look almost new again. Just thought I'd share

TG24....sounds good. We're here and there for help. Looking forward to helping you dive deeper into the OCD.

Sounds like you are off to a great start.

Cheers

I had to say it before 2stroked beat me to it. Just take your time and let the machine do all the work for you. I need to break out the rotory and do both my truck and my wifes car but I cant seem to find a weekend I am home long enough.

I got the Heavy Duty... I started it the way it said, then pulled out my DA and went to town. I have surprised my self with my ability big time. All the reading has paid off. Headlights really came out nice. The car is in rough shape. I'm planning on 2 days maybe 3. I work later so I have to stop in about 2.5 hours. Tomorrow will be paint correction hopefully

The heavy duty kit does a very nice job. I was wondering - the Pro kit is $320!

I agree, however a DA is a must.. the drills just can't cut the 105 enough to get rid of the scratches. On 6 it pulled them almost all out
