Cool How long does it take to wax your truck with the ZAINO products.

I bought all the Zaino products and I am just wondering how long it takes from starting at clay bar, Z1,Z5,Z3 and finish with the spray wax stuff. Thanks

Hey steveo,
You can pretty much plan
on the whole day, since
this is the first applications
on your truck.
The process I went
through on my first
application was....
washing it first with
liquid dawn (to remove
any wax that may be on),
ClayBar, washed my truck
again with Z-7, then
applied Z-1, after it
hazed applied Z-2 right
over it (don't remove Z-1). Once it hazed again I removed it with 100% white cotton towel. Then I applied another coat of just Z-2 let it haze, removed it again. Sal recommends at least 2 to 3 coats on your first applications and only using Z-1 after every 10 applications and of course your initial start. After that, I used Z-6 and was finally done.
It really does take literally all day. The main reason being you have to wait for the polish to haze. But it's well worth it.... incredible shine! If I had to take a guess though from start to finish.... 6 hours. Another factor also is the weather (temperature/humidity). The warmer it is, the faster the polish is going to haze. As for the products, there very easy to apply and remove.
In your post I seen you had Z-3, which is for regular paint. If you're applying it to your 99' F-150 you want to use Z-2 polish for clear-coated paint. Also, if you plan to use Z-5 that will take the place of Z-2 until your satisfied with you swirl mark removal. Then you may want to switch over to Z-2.
Hope this helps, and for the record, I'm very impressed with the Zaino line of products.

Best of luck....

Red face

I am sorry about that Lariot Rider I have the Z-5 not the Z-3. How long did it take to claybar your truck I am probably going to do it this weekend. I really like the soap that Zaino makes.

Hey steveo,
When using the ClayBar. You want to make sure the area you're using it in is well lubed (wet). I use a spray bottle and fill it with a capful of Z-7 and 12oz. of water.
It took me approx. 1 hour to ClayBar my truck.
