Living in Florida and having my truck outside all of the time I wax it about once a month and have not noticed any problems. I use the new Eagle 1 wax. I had a '94 Mustang GT before and waxed it even more regularly and it looked like brand new when I sold it in '98. My truck is Moonlight Blue and the Mustang was Deep Forest Green.

Very good question! I am not 100% sure...but over the years..I have noticed that the vehicles I kept waxed more often looked much better than those I 'let go'.

Hey fakefvc,
If anything it helps protect your finish. Waxing is like a protective coating on your trucks finish. Which helps prevent water spots, acid rain and helps protect your finish from bird droppings, bug guts and the suns UV rays.
That's pretty ideal, once a month. I sometimes wax my truck twice a month. You're trucks finish will be fine with once a month wax applications.

Thanks for the info, guys. I didn't think it would hurt the finish, but wanted to make sure...

Wink

Hey Fake,

Wouldn't hurt you to skip a month on yours and I'll slide mine in there.
