Angry HELP!!! Calcium Deposits

I'm gone for a week and come home to find that they started up the sprinkler systems here at home and it has left water spots all over the front . There appears to be calcium deposits (or so I was told)...Do you think the wife would move to another spot! Hell no...this is damn near grounds for divorce after what it has done to my beautiful finish!!! I need help on what I can use to get rid of the spots and not damage the clear coat.
I tried Maguires cleaner today, liquid and tried their paste...still has the spots. I'm gone for another week so next week will probably take it to a paint and body shop to get help, unless someone here has the REAL answer (before I throw the wife out the front door for allowing this to happen)!!!

Next time this happens, try wiping the spots off with a white vinegar soaked rag, then wash and wax. Now that you've waxed over the spots, I'm not sure what recourse you have.

If the minerals in your area are alkaline (which I believe they are)then Dennis is on the right track. Acid will do it. Vinegar is a good one and it will strip the wax too.

Cool

Thanks all...I will certainly try it. I did use Meguires Body Scrub (made for clear coat). It seemed to work pretty good but if ya look REAL close there still there. SEVEN hours with the buffer, started with the body scrub, swirl reducer next, then polish, then wax (all Meguires products)...whew that was a job.

Did you try Meguires #34 liquid cleaner for starters? That's supposed to be pretty good stuff, too?

You can also use the good ole' Clay Bar! Clay Magic Blue is the way to go in this instance.
