Thumbs up

I started using Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Polish followed by the Deep Crystal System Carnauba wax. Each is under $5.00.

I have a black F-150 and this combination has produced the best shine that I have ever seen.

my vote goes for Nu Finish, it is a polish rather than a wax . . .

I use Zaino polish. check out www.zaino.com Paint looks real deep w/ dark colors

lots of tips.

the clay is used to remove rail dust, brake dust, industrial fallout, etc. It won't scratch if the paint is clean right after a wash. you also use soapy car wash or detailing spray as a lubricant.

I have to recommend Zymoil. Just used it for the first time after years of using Meguires,Mothers and others. Its much easier to polish out of your paint than the other and the shine and depth are fabulous! Ive heard great things about Zaino but im discouraged to use it because its been labeled labor intensive to use correctly (i.e. hard to remove and lots of time/steps involved)Also its real expensive. Just give Zymoil a try and i'll bet your very impressed!

Cool

I bought the protection package from the Ford dealership (they threw it in for practically nothing) which adds a 10 year guarantee for the paint and vinyl. Any one else been using these products. They give you a wax for the paint and a cleaner protectant for the plastic, vinyl and leather stuff. Both seen to work great for me. The protectand makes the black parts look new and shiny, but not oily like armorall. It is also not slippery when used on the interior. (It says interior and exterior). The polish/wax on the other hand doesn't seem much different than other waxes I have used in the past. Also, Ford will refill the bottles for free if I take them to the dealership when they run out.

Does anyone know of any problems with these products???

I've tried almost everything. I used to detail vehicles for extra $ when in college. I recently tried Liquid Glass and was very impressed w/ the results. You must start w/ a good finish. (I clay barred, and used Mother's pre-wax cleaner some time ago and have used L G ever since)
It shines like crazy and requires little effort.

Good luck w/ your decision!

Zymoil (spelling?) all the way Zymoil for me.
I started to use this with my black ZX2 and it did wonders for my black paint. This wax is a little expensive but is 100% natural, no petrolium products. It is easy to put on and take off and will make a great shine.

I've tried many waxes before and found this one to be the best so far (mass market). Works as good as the professional brands. But I use a wax cleaner then a polish. After I use the Zymoil carnuba wax for the finishing touch (once every spring, then I use only the Zymoil. Every 4 months).

As far as the clay bar goes, you should use this if you have paint fumes or stained bird poopoo on the truck. But I'm not a pro so thats why I won't try the clay bar on my truck. If I ever will need to use it, I will have my truck sent to a pro.

You don't have to worry about questions, thats why there is a forum, so ask away partner... Doesn't it feel good to get up early on a Saturday morning and do a spanking good cleaning job (after an off-road drive & trophy mud on Friday) Wax and all the works, detail the underside, etc... And then go for a short drive on main street to show off your ride near sunset (colors are really nice around this time). Or am I a little too..........

P.S. I could be wrong about the clay bar.. I will try it on another vehicle to see if it is hard to use and if it is worth the effort.

The best wax must be used by the local Nissan dealer. Their cars/trucks have a second sticker that adds on $695.00 for a teflon paint sealant and fabric protectant. Those products must be the most expensive and best to charge that much.

I'll have to vote for Megular's. It really gives a good shine and you don't always have to use the carnuba afterwards (especially if your shoulder is wearing out). I've found that the carnuba is the only way to go for fibergalss (tonneau covers) and the such beacuse they're flat and don't shed off water or other things like bird s#*t, it wreaks havoc if you don't have alot of protection on the lid.
