liquid polish in plastic trim
I use a liquid polish and even though i am careful, i do get it in the plastic trim on the top of the bed of my 97 f150. i also do get it in on the black door handles and anywhere i have black plastic. Is there an easy way to remove the wax which gets down into the pores of the trim.
I have also had the problem of polish setting
into the plastic trim. What I find that works the best is to get a small cleaning brush with fairly stiff bristles and some fairly strong household cleaner. I find that a product such as "Fantastic" works very well. I wet the plastic trim with hose water first and then spray all the trim with the cleaner and scrub it with the brush. Scrub until you can no longer see the polish and the rinse it off good. (Make sure to rinse down the whole truck after because you will be able to notice the cleaner residue if it is not rinsed off well.)
After each polish I do this to my bed rails, black plastic around my mirrors, rear bumper stips, and the area around the base of my windshield wipers.
Hope this helps!
