Question Megs Scratch X the whole truck

I'm detailing my truck this weekend. There are a few spots where the seagulls have left their mark.
I'm wanting to Scratch X the spots and go ahead and do the whole truck with Scratch X.Should I follow up with some NXT 2.0? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Are you doing this by hand?

Yeah if you do the whole truck by hand it's going to be a long job. Scratch X works but if you've got bird etchings it may take a few passes. If by hand I'd say just do the worst spots now and save up for a polisher. Or buy a polisher now to do the whole thing.

Or if you already have a polisher then I'd say you're good to go! Yes, always follow up paint correction with a fresh coat of wax.

It would be a LOT easier with M205 and a DA with a polishing pad.

How about you take it to the guy that did your detail last year?

If you are going to do it by hand, wash and clay it, then you can use the new Megs polishing compound that's designed for hand application.

If you can't find it, you can use Megs Ultimate Compound. Either way, it's going to be a lot less work than using ScratchX on the whole truck. Then you can finish with NXT. ScratchX is designed for spot application only.
