2009 paint issues

I purchased a 2009 f150 and the paint seem to scratch very easly. I hand wash and wax the truck with clear coat safe products. Has any one else had or heard of this problem. The paint can be scratched with a finger nail.

What color is your truck ? I know I have had two black trucks so far and they both showed scratches bad. I had a silver car and it hid just about everything.

It is Royal Red. I have a 1996 7.3 powerstroke hunter green, s never showed a thing,( still own) 2001 taurus spruse green noting, 2003 eddie baure expedition white, just fine. 2006 powerstroke dark gray, not an issue. This 2009 f 150 is almost laughable and with the white\gray primer it is not good.

It may be a good idea to check with other guys who have your same color/year. Some honda paint is so soft that you can scratch it by looking at it funny. If it seems to only be your truck then take it to the dealer. Something may be wrong.

Thanks for the advise. The dealer is the next stop on my list of "Ford people" to contact.
