Wax over Liquid Glass?
I just used the Mother's Clay Bar followed by an application of Liquid Glass. (LQ is awesome!) After I put on another 2-3 coats of LQ can I or should I put on a non apprasive wax to protect the polish? And to answer your question, yes I am obsesive!
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Neal,
You posed an interesting question since we discussed this on the Chat room a few weeks ago and I have used Liquid Glass for years myself.
So, I did some experimenting today. I read the posts by kkirt, and endorsed by others, about using polish before a final wax and bought some of the Meguiar's 2nd step polish in the maroon bottle. This was recommended for my purposes by the Meguiar's web site.
Yep, the polish cleaned the paint nicely but my paint did not show a clear difference of
an oxidized/faded color between the polished/unpolished sections since it's still new. It did seem to prepare the surface for a final wax as your clay bar did.
I realize that the Liquid Glass can says "polish" but I really think it is a misnomer since it is an artificial high content polymer wax type coating. Actually, the Liquid Glass web site recommends steps similar to the Meguiar's site with "Liquid Glass" being the FINAL coat after prep and cleaning.
I applied Liquid Glass over the Meguiar's polish and sure enough, it works nicely. IMHO, Liquid Glass is the final application to be used over a polish and cleaner just like the Meguiar's kits.

Dunbarton,
Once again I have a question! Basically LQ is more of a wax than a polish then, correct? So, that means that I skipped the polish step meaning that somehow or another I have to cut through the 6, yes 6, coats of LQ that is on my truck before I could actually polish it. Sounds like too much work to me!! I'll just keep washing it and applying LQ every week and be happy with the shine that it has! Or should I try to apply a coat of Liquid Glaze by the Wax Shop above the LQ? It's known to put on a great shine, but only lasts a couple weeks.
I'm so confused I may just sand the truck and have it painted!!!
Thanks for your help Dunbarton and keep in touch.

Neal,
I used the Wax Shops Liquid Glaze and it, or maybe it was me, put swirl marks in my paint/clear coat. I used a diaper to apply the Glaze. Two weekends ago I used Turtle Wax Color Magic to remove them. Than topped it w/ Mcguires final inspection. Worked great.
I will never use the Liquid Glaze again.
