Door Dent :(

Hello all,

While out detailing my F150 today, i noticed a small ding in the passenger door..
It's no bigger then a quarter, and you can barley see it, but i don't like ding's, nor scratches on my trick...i have a disorder when it comes to things looking like how i want...... Is there a way I could get this ding out, or should I take it to someone, and let them do it? How much would it appx cost for it to be done by somebody else?

Thanks

Try a search in google for the dry ice and hairdryer dent removal method. There is something about the extreme cold then extreme hot by letting the metal expand and contract that will take out dents.

Take it to a paintless dent repair place, it should be less than $100.

x3. Good interior access on a door skin so it should not be a problem for them. As part of training I was in they brought in a company that does this. Guy whacked his company vehicle's door with a rubber mallet and proceeded to remove it. Quite impressive.

From: LOUISIANA,
DRY ICE!!!!! lol That will burn the paint. Just take it to a local paintless dent repair tech and have it fixed.

I do that for a living and it looks like it should be less than 100 bucks, body line dents are tougher but f150s have good metal so shouldnt be a problem

It won't "burn" the paint if you put something between it. I've read that some paintless dent repair place actually use that method.

If that's the case, I'd let one of those pros do it because they are trained and experienced.
