There is a lever that appears to hold the wiper on but with it released the wiper still won't release. Is it corrosion? Which way do you pull to get it off with the lever pushed?

Good question... I looked at it this afternoon and can't figure it out either.

 

Pull wiper arm up perpendicular to windshield and turn blade perpendicular to the arm. Push lever down and slide entire wiper assembly down on arm until it is clear of hook in arm. It is now free to remove.
