how do i polish out scratch

how do i polish out scratch

just picked up a used 05 f150 super screw lareit (metalic blue)

it's got a 12 inch scratch in the door - can anyone advise the best way to polish this out

As Old Dogg mentions, it's impossible to now without seeing or at least knowing more about the scratch. It could be deep enough that it can't be removed or ir could be light enough to be removed with a simple polish.

True. You need to determine if the scratch is through the clearcoat or not first.

the scratch looks pretty deep but skinny

i will take some pictures tommorow and post them

If your fingernail catches it when you wipe across it you may be able to cover it or minimize it's appearance but it's not going to polish out without removing too much clear coat.
