******Red Crayon on Hood******

Noticed a little while back there are some red marks, not scratches, just marks on the hood. Was wondering if anyone knows the best way to go about removing them?

Here are some pics

Have you tried a mild rubbing compound? If it is really just a crayon, you should be able to rub it off with a QD spray and a microfiber. Make sure it is wet.

WD-40 or goo gone will break up the crayon and it'll wipe off! Says it on the cans! takes gum and crayon out of clothes too.

I've had good luck with rubbing/isopropyl alcohol with stuff like that.

I don't know what's in goo gone, but Ive used it on my trucks windows before to get gunk off.... it should not hurt the paint at all if you use care... I would try goo gone before wd40, but use care with both, I wouldnt scrub it. And I would be sure to wash and wax it afterwards - not the liquid stuff, use the paste, it is my understanding that the paste protects better

3M adhesive remover should work too. They sell it at most parts stores.

Try the clay bar first since it would be considered the least aggressive method of those mentioned so far.

If the Goo is gone or gets sent away why would there be any Goo in there in the first place?

3M adhesive remover does wonders it removed some white marks on my DSG paint similar to those. It is paint and clear coat safe too,

Most liquid car waxes have a solvent base. More often than not it will remove mild markings from all manner of sources, and you don't have to wash and wax afterward.
