Debadging your truck. Has anyone done it?

I am new to this site and have been reading a lot of great threads but i have not seen one about anyone debadging there trucks. Not that showing our emblems and decals is a bad thing but some trucks IMO look really sharp with that clean look. I have debadged my 1800 VTX motorcycle and i really like the look and was wondering what you guys thought about it and if anyone has any pictures to share. Also are the side F-150 logos on with 3m tape??

The badges have alignment pegs behind them and will leave visible holes if they are not welded and then repainted. I did my truck when someone did $1100 in damages to my truck trying to steal my Power Stroke badges. Here are some pictures of my truck.

I just got my 97 4.6L and I do love it but after driving a family memebers 03 7.3L PSD I'm hooked. I'm looking now and maybe by this time next year I'll have her. Your truck is just about exactly what I'm looking for color and all... I'd settle for xcab all depends on price. If you don't mind what kind of city/highway mix MPG do you get? I'm getting an average of 14mpg city/highway and a little better than 16.5mpg all highway now with my 4.6L

I didn't have any damage but wanted it done, and yes there are guide pin holes. Here's the thread I started.

I regret not thinking about shaving my badges when I got my repair work completed. Someone suggested it to me a little too late. However, this is why I installed the Saleen Side-Vents. They were a $30 solution to the problem, and I'm quite happy with how they turned out. I'll cross post some install pictures, gimmie a minute.

Edit: Pictures

Okay, so I know that I took pictures during the install. I guess they are still on my camera, so all I have is the final pictures... and I'm still in Cali, so I can't go out and take new pictures. So here's what I got, hope it helps.
