Think its even possible?

Long story short I wrecked my previous truck and am now shopping for a new used one. Found this one and its a complete steal except for one minor detail. The interior is on the verge of being ruined. The guy who owns it has a small farm or something and has had seat covers on the front seats but not the back ones. He said the back ones are from his kids. Anyways he sent me some pictures last night and here is a few of the interior. I know they are not that great and im not positive what the stains are from, but I did ask him. My best guess is that its 98% dirt and the back seat is from kids standing on the seat but I could be wrong because he did say that he picked all the mcdonalds out of the cracks. Do you think its possible to even restore this interior to an acceptable state? Be honest! lol

If it's enough of a steal, you could always try replacing everything as you go along... Or, you could just get covers for them.

As for the carpet...maybe. You'd be surprised how much some Folex and a shop vac can get out, though those stains probably need something stronger.

Ask the guy if you can take the truck to a local detailer and get his opinion (as well as an estimate).

Just a thought - if he let the inside get that bad, what kind of maintenance has he done? In my experience (lived in WI and MI; have several relatives that own farms), farmers are not 'known' for preventive mainenance - they usually wait until it breaks before they fix it.

From what I can see I'd have to guess that yes, a cleaning would make them look brand new. Spray some APC on them and then extract and I'm betting they will look brand new.

Yes you can. The other week I did my girlfriends 05 mustang she got from her mom. It had stains all over it and the floor mats were bad. I used a thing my mom has for cleaing carpets(like rug doctor but not that brand) and it took like 3 hours, but it is nearly spotless(with a little more work it all would have come out, I got the main stains and not all the little ones, plus I had to clean the outside to so I was tired.)

That interior is cleanable. It may take some work, but it can probably be brought back to like new condition with the right products and process.

Here's my bigger issue with vehicles like this one though. If that's all the care they saw fit to give the interior, what about general care and maintenance? From my experience, a roach is generally a roach through and through.

I have to believe the smell alone would drive anyone away from that one. Even if you can get everything visibly clean I don't know how you'd get the garbage smell out of the A/C and heater ducts!

That's disgusting for someone to treat a vehicle like that and I don't care if you're a farmer or not!

By the looks of it this vehicle has not been taken care of. I would keep looking. If you're in the market for a new used truck...the good ones are out there just keep looking...don't settle.

ditto. totally doable. I work on several farm vehicles. All of them see decent service. They just get extra dirty due to the environment they're in.
