Rust streaks on hood...need help

On my grill guard I have a deep scratch in the top euro bar and has rusted up so now everytime it rains or gets water up there it puts rust streaks on my hood. what is the best way to seal up this scratch so that it keeps rust off my hood.. let me know if i need to post some pics. any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure of the design... is it painted metal? If so, sand the rust off and paint it. If its powder coated, you might try sanding and other painting with a flat color or they might make a power coat substitute paint.

Use an Extend based product to convert the rust, then paint it.
