need a little help
OK i have black 06 ext. cab with some minor scratches and swirls, sorry i dont have any pics of it, and i also plan on making a big detail purchase at ADS or one of the sites ive seen mentioned on here. Before i go and spend a lot of money i want to make sure i get the right stuff. I have decided i want the PC7424xp with the 5 inch backing plate and LC pads but what size should i get 5.5 or 6.5? and are the CCS pads any good or should i get something else? i see some people like the megs pads also
Also im thinking of getting a few orange, white, and grey, maybe a blue pad if i go with LC .. is there any other i should get?
Im gonna go with PB products also
SSR1
SSR2

EX-P
poorboys polish w/carnauba(blue) does it sound like i need anything else?
any help is greatly appreciated

On the pads...
Im an Optimum products fan so I cant tell you anything about PB paint products but...
I like the 5.5 or smaller pads for faster rotation (less work).
Maybe 2 orange pads and more white pads (workhorse) than anything else from the type of correction you describe. A couple of grey for finishing, a couple of blue for LSP application if you are going to apply waxes with the machine.
I also like the CCS pads because of the smaller size selection and ease in tight spots so if you go with them get a 4" or smaller backing plate in your order and get a few small pads also.
Good luck. The rabbit hole is deep.

Rated by ease of use and durability on black or dark paint....
My favorite LSP is Optimum Car Wax. Just wipe it on and thats it. It claims on the bottle to last up to 5 months. Usually I start with either Poli-Seal or Obsessive Detail Wet Shine Glaze...followed by NXT 2.0 base coat then I apply 2 coats of OCW over a few days. On average I do this 3 times a year.
In the warmer months for a last step, I also use some type of Carnuba over the OCW make it pop and to keep it wet.
I really like Blue Velvet DoDo Juice as far as carnuba waxes go.
Also I primarily use Optimum No Rinse Wash unless I go more than a week between washings or the truck is sandy or muddy dirty.
Good luck.

i might have to get some optimum products now... would it be ok to use basically all PB products and then for my LSP go with some optimum car wax? by the way does the optimum car wax really bring out that deep wet look?
After much reading about hyperphobic this and sheeting that, as far as price, durability and ease of use...on black paint...with proper preparation, NXT 2.0 and OCW together will get you deep and wet in less than an hour of work time.
5 year old paint beat paint.
