Something to fix tiny rock chips all over windshield

Not on my truck, but on my girlfriends 1999 Volvo V70. There are millions of tiny chip marks everywhere. When I drive her car facing the sun, I can barely see anything.

Is there anything out there that can actually fix this? Even a little bit? Thanks!

Many small chips..... probably need to replace th windshield. If you have comprehensive coverage on the vehicle then your deductible is waived for replacement (FL law). But there needs to be a _sudden_ and accidental loss to the windshield. You may want to report that a rock recently hit the windshield causing one of these chips.

On a 2008 truck you probably have this coverage.

Hey, thanks for replying! I think I worded that wrong. They're not all chips. You cannot see anything from the outside. They are just little tiny marks. Very, very small, but they're everywhere.

I wasn;t sure if there was some product that might help a bit without having to replace the windshield.

While people have tried to polish out marks on glass, I've never seen were they have been very successful. I don't know of any product that would get rid of these marks.

As mentioned, rock chips on a windshield would be covered under the comprehensive coverage on an auto policy and the deductible would be waived for the replacement.

"Oh no, a rock that I clearly did not throw cracked my windshield. I need a new, free one"

Kidding. There's this commercial on TV about some company that uses some sort of resin to fill in chips. Granted, I know you say the chips aren't very big, but maybe they have a way of filling the tiny ones in? They even say it should be free (covered by insurance) since an insurance company would rather repair than replace a windshield.

Thumbs up

My windshield had 2 rock chips in it a bit smaller then a dime.Harmon glass fixed them and they are virtually gone! And it was covered under my insurance!
