So much nicer having a truck in the south..

I moved from Vermont to Florida. Quite a drastic change. Vermont sees a lot of snow. The roads are constantly salted and eating away at your vehicle. Normally, I'd be able to wax my truck for the last time right about now as temps are getting into the 30's and 40's.

However, now that I live in Florida, it's still 80 degrees everyday. In fact, at 11pm it's still 75!

I'm very psyched to know I will not have to deal with any salt, I can detail my truck year round and I do not have to drive in any snow.

Had to use the a/c today haha. Not trying to rub it in by any means. Just excited my truck will stay much cleaner. Also, being 2wd I don't have to worry about getting stuck anywhere.

Well good for you.

Glad to hear the trucks gonna be outta the salt. It really eats a vehicle up. Then this new stuff they're using is 10000x worse.

Lived in Florida for 25 years. Live these 2 months up... it will get to 100 degrees with 90% humidity for the other 10 months!

Now that your in Florida you should look into attending Auto Geek's Detail Fest next year. I flew all the way from NYC this past spring to check it out. They even had a Mike Phillips teach a Sunday Detail class.

just gotta be careful WHERE in FL you live. When I worked in Daytona we had customers who kept having rust issues with sunroof tracks, exhaust, etc. because they lived beachside where, with the seaspray, the car is subjected to much more salt 24/7/365, not just in the winter. Whenever I take my truck to the beach I'll stop at the quarter wash to give it a good high-pressure cleaning to help get rid of any salt still there.

The change is a little weird. I'm still waiting for the leaves to fall off the trees but it's just as green as summertime. It's also still around 80 most days.

Though, it's not that weird. I've been a professional musician for the past 10 years and normally tour all over the world 9 months out of the year. So, I wasn't used to anything really haha.
