how do I remove road striping paint from wheelwells& stepbars?

Was using my truck for work the other day on a 2 lane rural highway and was passed by a dang MODOT striping truck painting the solid dual yellow stripes on a narrow section of higway. now I have this damned yellow paint on my left side wheelwells& stepbar which is factory chrome. How do I remove this damn yellow paint?

Take pictures before you do anything and take it to MODOT. They should cover the cost of any correction work. It only seems logical that they should have blocked off the road or had a detour while spraying paint.

I'd take it up with them and have them cover any damages.

I did the samething years ago in my 93 Mustang GT but it was at night and there was no one around. I ran right to a DIY car wash which got most of it off. I used laquer thinner on the fenders (it was just paint specs mostly) and ended up using rattle can paint on the wheel wells.
