Black Residue

Ok... is it good or bad when you have a dark black residue come off on your towel when you use a product that says its for rubber moldings, vinyl trim and such?

I think we're going to need more info. What are you doing? What product? What are you actually using it on? What part of the truck?

If the product has cleaners in it, what you see may just be oxidation. It should diminish when the rubber/vinyl is clean. If it keeps coming that may be bad.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've never seen that product but it's probably just natural dirt and grime coming out. Not to mention rubbers leech a bit of color anyway. I wouldn't worry about it but if your gut tells ou something is wrong, keep an eye on it.
