1st try with the 7424XP
Overall, it made a huge improvement. Still have a lot of oxidation left.
I just worked the hood for now.
105 with yellow lake pad, 2x. STill learning how to work with thsi stuff. Seemed to dry out quickly. I resorted to water spritzes to keep it moving. prob not the smartest idea.
205 with green lake pad. Had to use water again.
Also, with the buffer set on 5, the pad bogged down easily, even with no down pressure. Cranked it up to 6 and the pad and product started cutting.
NXT 2.0 x2
Megs gold x1
Before
After: (starting to see a reflection, blurred, but reflecting!)
spent about 4 hours on the hood. Not scared of 105 anymore

Good Work....
M-105 is a at times difficult compound to work with. Varibles like temp, humidity and porosity of the surface will work with you or against you.
Recently esf gave me the idea of mixing M-105 with another polish or compound for longer working times but I have yet to try this method. I also had drying and caking problems with M105 and figured out I was working the product too long and using too much. Water helps but if it completely dries the residue and leftover product is a pain to remove.
Many here have quite a bit of experience to share so...
Good Luck!

nice job...not to add to much, but use QD over water next time.
Most of the time, using too much will cause issues with 105...and you'll know when you used to much when you see the patch you are working on...parts of it seem wet others seem very dry. That means you did too large of a section and used too much product and or your pad is saturated with product.
You did a nice job....see that 105 ain't too bad but you don't need to use it again on that paint.
