Pick a pad

I'm planning to perform a full exterior detail on my F150... in the past I have always done it by hand - and with good results - but I have also had the pleasure of using a PC 7424 on vehicles recently.

Evaluating my paint reveals some water spotting, and minimal swirling. Nothing that will require a compound, but a little more than a cleaner can correct. I have decided Poorboy's SSR1, followed by Poorboy's EX Sealant and a layer of Meg's #16 (left over from last detail).

What pads would work well with these products (I'll apply the wax by hand)? I was thinking a Lake Country CCS white for the SSR1 and a grey pad for the EX Sealant.

Thoughts?

This was taken not too long after my last detail (all by hand)

Im always impressed with how clean your exhaust pipes look and that appears to be very well kept paint but to answer your question from one novice to another....
I like the 5.5" CCS pads and yes the white for polishing and the gray for finishing.

Cool, so my searching paid off! I figured I gather a second (and third opinion) before I got started. Now I need to order some pads and the product.

I agree with the 5.5 inch pads for the PC.

if your going with a white pad might want to order an orange lake country ccs pad just in case the white doesn't cut it.
