Vent visors

I have recently purchased the in channel vent visors for my 04 scab. I need to remove the double sided tape from the previous set that stuck on the outside of the window. Does anyone recommend a certain type of chemical to aid me in the removal of the tape? any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Well not for sure but I think goo be gone would be safe.
Or
Not sure how much you have left on there, but maybe a hair dryer to warm it a bit to the point were you might be able to roll it back using your finger.
Where if its just the sticky part then maybe use the goo be gone.

WD40 on a terry cloth rag will probably remove it. Then I'd just clean it up with some soap and water. If you were sloppy with the WD40 rewax anywhere you might have gotten it on the paint, providing it was waxed in the first place.

I done the Goo Gone route. Just be prepaired to rub and rub and rub. Of course, I done mine last summer when it was hot. The more heat, the better. Don't be afraid to saturate it too, thats what it took to do the job. As long as you wash it off after your done your fine. Here is the inchannel ones I got, they look alot better then the stick ons. There made by Wade.

How do the in-channel ones stay on? Do they use tape as well?

Not sure about all brands, but mine uses tape as well. I guess this makes sure that the tabs dont slip out of the channel.

Thank you everyone for the advice! We used the goo be gone on my wife's pontiac and that took a while. I think I am going to try the WD40 as this is what I used to clean my skin when I worked in a sticky rubber factory back in the day =]

I have the weather tech brand and on a supercrew, the fronts go under the w/s and are held in place by a clip on the bottom for the fronts, the backs go under the w/s and use some double side tape, they work good IMHO but the front ones where the clips go distorts the factory w/s, if it will go back to the original shape after the visor is off is unknown at this point.
YMMV
