how warm to detail a car

for like the polishes and stuff to set correctly in a decent amount of time? This weekend it is supposed to be a high in the lower 40's around here which is the warmest is has been in a while and i want to try my G110 out, or is that still to cold?

i did my first detail w/ my g110 when it was about 40 degrees out, took longer for the product to haze and such and while i did see some minor paint correction i think it wuold have been better in warmer conditions

I think most of the products I use work better when it is atleast in the mid 50's. I would prefer to detail in nothing less than the mid 60's but that is why my garage is heated.

This has been hashed out but not since last winter.

The general consensus is that nearly all polishes will require a temperature of 60 deg. F. to bond with the paint. At lower temps it will go on, break down, and come off but it's not adhearing to the surface.

I have had limited success in colder temperatures by working on the Sunny side of the vehicle only where the radiant heat has heated those panels to temperatures above the air temp and to the required minimums.

Last year's discussion ended with 60deg. minimum, 70 better, 80 better, etc...

No wonder my first trip with the g110 didn't go amazing. I had decent results on a low low 50 degree day. Next time will be spring, and 75. The high is gonna be 27 tomorrow! Yikes.

The ideal range for most products is temperature being somewhere from 55- 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
