You think that's bad - someone posted here a while ago about some crazy polish that's thousands of dollars - with lifetime free refills though.

I've heard really good things about Fuzion. It's not as bad as you think once you figure in the free refill. That's cuts the price in half really. Instead of 175.99, you're looking at about $88. While still a lot, there are other things to consider. A lot of people who purchase these expensive waxes, have customers who demand the best and are willing to pay for the best. Even if it's not the best wax (which is always debatable), the fact that it is an expensive wax leads the customer to believe they are getting something rare that not many people have which is usually goes hand in hand with the vehicle they're driving. If you ask a guy driving a Lamborghini if he wants your everyday, over-the-counter Meguiars Gold Class or even 16 or 26, or if he wants the top of the line exotic Wolfgang Fuzion, my bet is he's going with the Fuzion. Being able to offer customers a product like that makes the customer feel special, keeps them coming back and more importantly, allows you to charge more because they feel they are getting more. After a couple customers askf or this "special" wax, it pays for itself and then some. For the rest of us weekend warriors or even professional detailers who don't operate in an area where customers like those are regular, the $10, $20, sometimes up to $50 waxes are more than enough. I think the most I've spent on a wax is $55 and it's actually my favorite wax that I've used.

I think the most expensive wax I have is Wet Obsession at about 55$ a tin. Then I would say the next one is Meg #16 at about 22$ bucks a tin and I have six tins.

That's the stuff I was talking about, JMB.

NXT 2.0 is plenty good enough for me and my humble expectations, thank you! I drive my truck, I don't enter it in car shows.

I was thinking of getting a tin but my problem is what happens if I like it, do I stop there or try the next expensive can. The Wolfgang 3.0 sealer is great and that replaced my M21. Right now im using Collinite 845 and I like it better then M26.

One other thing to remember here is having a clean, swirl free finish will help the overall look of the paint far more than ANY wax will.

I totally agree. I see a lot of people spending a ton of money on the high end waxes and have swirls and scratches all over the place. Prep is the key to that perfect finish. I think the biggest thing is knowledge, you wouldn't believe how many people don't know how top properly prep a vehicle and do all of the necessary steps.

After detailing full-time for the past year or so, I know exectly what your saying. My customers are usually shocked at the amount of steps that I take. Around here they are used to getting a quick wash and wax, and that passes for a "full detail".

What the "elders" have said is key. Proper prep is required for any LSP regardless of price.

Give that Wet Obsession a try. I am impressed with it.

I figured I would throw this out there. The $55 I spent on wax was for Wet Obsession. Well worth it. But that's where I stop. I think.
