Best applicator pads?

whats everyones choice in app. pads? i have been using microfiber pads and then the megs foam pad that came with my NXT paste. i tend to like the foam pads better. whats everyone else think or prefer? is there certain chemicals that you should use foam over microfiber or vice versa?

Typically when I work by hand I am applying my lsp if it is in paste form such as 26. I like to use foam pads. If I am not mistaken I belive microfiber pads have a small amount of cutting property.

I use microfiber for everything except the LSP. For that, I use foam.

I use the yellow foam ones you get from autogeek.net. I think they are pinnacle ones.

Just about any pad can be made to have 'some' cutting power...

Foam, when utilized 'correctly' will likely have the least amount of cut. A terry applicator will have a bit more along with a MF applicator...

For me, it really depends on what I"m trying to accomplish. If I'm correcting paint in a tight spot that I couldn't get to with my rotary (even with a small pad), I'll go with a terry applicator as I've always found it to be more aggressive than a foam applicator. Likewise, if I'm applying a LSP, I'll go with a Meg's yellow foam applicator as they're VERY mild and really don't have much cutting oompah at all.

The best advice is to try a few out and go with what you think will work the best for your application. Each and every person will have their own individual experience and the only way to know what will work best for your application is to give a few a whirl!

Enjoy!
