pour water into the sprayer up to the level for the desired mix ratio. then fill with HD till where the neck of the spray bottle STARTS, not all the way full.

Ok but if 4:1 is natural shine so if i filled to 4:1 mark with HD then then the water. that will be probaly 80 percent hd so it would be extra thick and shiny Right?? Or do i fill the water to the 4:1 mark the add the HD to the neck beggining of the neck

sorry i typed it backwards when i first responded. for natural shine (4:1), it will be 4 parts water to one part HD, so fill the water up to the 4:1 line and then just alittle bit of HD up to the beggining of the neck. Therefore, if you end up using a different ratio like 2:1 you will end up using more HD but will get more shine

4:1 is 4 parts water and 1 part HD.

There really is no reason to go more than 1:1. Anything more would be a waste of product.

Love the 1:1 look on things like tires and trim. On the interior though I go with a 3:1 or 4:1 mixture.

Well just used the hd for the first time today. Opened the hood and gently sprayed off the motor to detail it and now i have a big time miss in the motor so im sure i got a cop wet or something. But it looks good on the tires and the wheel wells didnt get a chance to do the motor since i have to change the cops now. Ill put pics up next time i wash truck. One question though i went threw almost half a bottle(megs spray bottle) doing my truck is that normal?

1/2 bottle mixed at 4:1 for me would do the tires, fenderwells. frame rails, mailbox, lawn mower, gas grill, patio furniture, garden hose..........

You may have applied more than necessary

I don't know. I go through the stuff like you wouldn't believe. I probably go through more than you did which is why I keep two gallons on hand if I can help it and atleast two bottles filled and ready to go.

Yeah, it's a dressing that you can use on everything. You can mix it to different dilutions to give you the shine that you want. High gloss or a matte finish. It is water based and you mix it to your preference. Once I used it I was done w/all that expensive stuff at the local auto stores.
