Driving me crazy

whenever it rains, somehow leaves all black/dark streaks running down my paint from the bed rails! i mean they come off if i wipe them but still look horrible and a pain to always clean them off after it rains! also the mirrors and rear side windows do it but not as bad. drives me crazy, especially the bed and on white it really stands out and looks terrible. any help to take care of this problem would be sweet. Thank you

When you last detailed the truck did you put any tire shine or dressing on them? I did this once and they looked great until it rained. I just kept whiping it off after rains till i had a chance to wash it, then i just scrubbed the plastics real good to try and get all the oil out and it worked.

it could be just that old oil but it might just be the dirt from the rain. just shows up more in those spots because thats where the water tends to flow better down the truck. thanks though man, your truck looks real good too after the new tires and rims. i was about to get the XATs myself but it was cheaper to get the coopers here.

If you have access to a pressure washer try to blast out the stuff in between the bed and the plastic guards. Sometimes it can accumulate dirt in there and it runs out when it rains.

The other option is like someone else mentioned, the dressing you put on the plastic is coming off. Plastic does not absorb dressing, so it is important to wipe off as much excess as possible with a dry towel after application.

ProComp es9000, their not bad but not great either. Got 'em on sale from 4WP with a steering stabalizer. Seem to be stiffer than stock, but in a good way. If I had the money I probably would have spent a little more and got something better though. I'd check out Monroe shocks too, never heard one complaint about 'em
