Nail Polish Remover?

Is that basically the same as lacquor thinner? I went to the Aotuo Zone store to get something to get the smudge of paint off the truck---Scratch-X---and the man there said to try a small bit of nail polish remover. Before I do it, what do you all think?

Nail polish remover is acetone. I wouldn't use it. I'd try a clay bar first.

Someone spray painted my brother in laws car and I wiped his whole car down with acetone. Worked great and then we waxed it after. Its been 3 years now with no problems.

X2

Clay bars work great for overspray or paint transfer and there is no worry if it will eat into your paint.
