Paint removal

OK, I come out of the store yesterday to see that the guy parked next to me (a red Taurus, I remember when I got out of my truck) cut too quickly pulling out and hit my rear bumper on the side...didn't do any damage to my truck, no scratches or anything, but there is a small smear of paint from his red Taurus on my truck.

What would you all suggest that I use to remove it? There is n;t a scratch or anything, but the small smear of paint doesn't look good on my Oxford White truck.

Thanks,

Tim C.

I would try using a cleaner wax first, if that doesnt work, then you can try using a clay bar or a polishing compound. Just remember to be careful with the clearcoat on your truck.

Try Meguire's Scratch-X. I've used it with plenty of success.

Laqure Thiner. (don't co crazy with it)

Works like a champ, be sure to properly wash the area after and polish and LSP accordingly

don't believe me?

Of course this is just one method the above are also good, remember least aggressive first. Try the above then us the LT if SX doesn't get it.

From this:

To this

This wasn't just LT, it was LT followed by clay, polish, (many steps), and LSP.
