Pakshak review

i decided to by some better towels last week.

i ordered one waffle weave mf and 12 of the ultra plush mf towels.

ordered it on wednesday evening and i had it by tuesday morning.
extremely fast and they even threw in 2 extra MFs.

as everyone has said here, the towels were extremely soft compared to every other towel i used, even meguiars supreme shine. I used the waffle weave immediately, and this is where my only concern is.

it seemed that my towel became saturated much quicker (i previously used the cheap "absorber" chamois); even though it has a much better feeling when drying my truck off. do you guys use a couple at a time and rotate or is there any other ideas/tricks.

over all, i think there product and service is great and will definently be ordering again soon.

I believe that you can just wring the waffle weave towel out. I think that is what someone at the meguiars hotline told me but I would feel more comfortable if someone backed up my statement.

Andrew you're able to ring it out but it's still going to be moist and it's going to leave some water residue on the surface. I use a backpack blower so I barely even have to use a Waffle Weave and it doesn't get nearly wet enough to cause any problems. Although if you're drying with only towels, use a few. Soak all the water up with one or two and than finish up with a dry one.

This is exactly correct.

not to hijack the thread but what backblower do you use and where did you pick it up?

It's a Echo PB620 and I got it from a local equipment place.

Simply wringing the WW towel out never works for me. Once it gets wet, it ends up leaving more water than it's soaking up. I always just get a dry one. In fact, I usually use 2 at once - one to soak up the water and one to get things completely dry.

RockPick, Brad, knows this but a towel that has been wringed out can get the "bulk" water off much better than one that is soaking wet, right?

I would agree with this.

I run over the whole vehicle with one waffle weave towel, wringing it out often. Then one or two regular MF's is all it takes to finish the job Provided I'm not doing it directly in the blazing sun, then I would recommend hitting it with 2-3 waffle weaves as fast as you can.

Your ideas about what i was thinking.

I might get another, one to be the work horse, and the other to do a final wipe.

I just used my PakShak towels for the first time last night and they are very, very nice! For a reference point, I bought all of my MFs at Wally World and Auto Zone for my first detail - about a month ago. After researching these forums and various others I decided to take the plunge on 12 MFs and 6 of the WWs and I can't be happier! Those MFs from Wally World can't even compare to the quality of these Pakshaks. The nap in the PSs is amazing and I didn't have to use any effort whatsoever to remove the polish and wax. Of course I used my DA last night and when I used the Wally World MFs I was doing everything by hand - I made certain using the DA that I put the polish and wax on nice and thin and took my time [patience!] to break it down.

I just wanted to post up to give my opinion on my experience with the PakShak MFs. I am very happy with this investment and would highly recommend them to anyone looking at different MFs.
